How to Hang a Dartboard: The Official Guide

26 February 20265 min read14 views
Hanging a dartboard correctly is the first step to a professional setup. Learn the exact heights and distances required for regulation play.

A poorly hung board is more than an annoyance; it ruins your practice. Here are the DRA (Darts Regulation Authority) standard measurements.

Height: The Bulls-Eye Line

Measurement: 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 meters) from the floor to the dead center of the bullseye.

Distance: The Oche

Measurement: 7 feet 9.25 inches (2.37 meters) from the face of the board (not the wall!) to the back of the throwing line.

Pro Tip:

Use a "dead-head" bracket rather than a single nail. It prevents the board from rotating and ensures a secure, flat fit against the wall.
