I was on 40, hit a double 20, but then my next dart accidentally hit a single 5. I thought I won! Why is it 'bust'? I'm so confused.

Welcome to darts, mate! You have to hit exactly the number to finish. If you go over, you're back to where you started.

Always throw your last dart at the floor if you hit your double with the first or second!
